This Privacy Policy describes how Toncho Dev ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Water Tracker & Reminders mobile application ("App"). Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting your personal information.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

To provide personalized hydration goals, we collect:

We automatically collect certain technical information:

• General location (city/region level, for weather-based hydration adjustments)

Social Features Data

If you use our social features:

• Friend connections and social graph
• Shared progress and achievements (only what you choose to share)
• Messages or interactions with friends

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide Core Features: Track your water intake, calculate personalized goals, and send reminders
• Personalize Experience: Adjust hydration goals based on your profile, activity level, and weather
• Enable Social Features: Connect you with friends and share progress (with your permission)

Health Data Integration

Apple Health (HealthKit)

If you choose to connect with Apple Health:

• We can read your activity data to better estimate hydration needs
• We can write your water intake data to Apple Health
• This data is stored locally on your device and in iCloud (if you have Health data sync enabled)
• We do not send Apple Health data to our servers
• You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy → Health

Google Fit

If you choose to connect with Google Fit:

• We can read your activity and hydration data
• We can write your water intake data to Google Fit
• Data is synced according to your Google Fit settings
• You can disconnect at any time in the App settings or Google account permissions

Data Storage and Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest (AES-256)
• Secure Servers: Data is stored on secure cloud servers with regular security audits
• Access Controls: Strict internal access controls limit who can view your data
• Local Storage: Sensitive data can be stored locally on your device when possible
• Automatic Backups: Your data is automatically backed up to prevent loss

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data only in these limited circumstances:

When you choose to share your progress with friends or on social media

Service Providers

Trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the App:

• Cloud hosting and database providers (encrypted data only)

Business Transfers

You can access and export all your data at any time through the App settings

Correction

Update your profile information and hydration data directly in the App

Deletion

Delete your account and all associated data through App settings or by contacting us. Data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Notifications

Control reminder frequency and types in App settings or disable push notifications in device settings

Social Features

Opt out of social features or control what you share with friends

Health Data

Disconnect Apple Health or Google Fit integration at any time

Marketing Communications

Opt out of promotional emails (we send very few!) by clicking unsubscribe

Children's Privacy

The Water Tracker & Reminders is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers, including:

• Standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission
• Privacy Shield certification (where applicable)
• Adequate data protection agreements

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically:

• Hydration logs: Kept until you delete them or close your account
• Profile data: Kept until you close your account
• Usage data: Anonymized and aggregated after 12 months
• Deleted accounts: Permanently removed within 30 days (except data we must retain for legal purposes)

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have these additional rights:

• Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share
• Right to delete your personal information
• Right to opt-out of the "sale" of personal information (we don't sell data)
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Third-Party Services

The Water Tracker & Reminders may contain links to or integrate with third-party services (e.g., social media, weather services). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those services. Please review their privacy policies separately.

Analytics and Advertising

Analytics: We use privacy-focused analytics to understand how the App is used. This data is anonymized and aggregated.

Advertising: The Water Tracker & Reminders is ad-free! We do not display ads or use advertising tracking.
